Terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026
These terms cover your use of heatpumpinstallation.ie. By using the site, you agree to them.
Who we are
heatpumpinstallation.ie is run by James Lewis, a sole trader in Ireland trading as Heat Pump Installation Ireland. Contact: hello@heatpumpinstallation.ie. We're not part of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and we don't install heat pumps ourselves: we connect homeowners with installers who do.
Our guides are general information
- Costs, grant amounts, running costs and calculator results are estimates and general guidance, not a quote, an offer or financial advice.
- Every figure shows the date we last checked it. Grant rules and prices change; SEAI's website is the official source for the grant, and an installer's written quote is the only firm price.
- Whether your home suits a heat pump, and whether you qualify for a grant, depends on a survey and on SEAI's decision.
We work hard to keep everything accurate, but we can't promise it's complete or error-free. Tell us if something's wrong: hello@heatpumpinstallation.ie.
Quote requests
- Asking for quotes is free and there's no obligation to accept any quote. Registered installers may pay us for introductions; that never changes the price you're quoted.
- Please only ask for quotes for a home you own or are authorised to act for, and give your own, accurate contact details.
- With your consent, we pass your request to up to 2 SEAI-registered installers in your county. We don't guarantee that any installer will quote or be available.
- Any survey, quote, contract or installation is between you and the installer you choose. We're not a party to it, and we're not responsible for an installer's advice, prices, work, warranties or conduct.
- Check that an installer is registered with SEAI for heat pumps, get a written contract, and ask for references, as SEAI recommends.
Using the site
Please don't misuse the site: no false or other people's details in forms, no attempts to break or overload it, and no automated scraping of the quote forms. You're welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back.
Content and links
The text, calculator, graphics and data presentation on the site are ours; brand names belong to their owners and appear only to describe products. Links to other websites, such as seai.ie, are for your convenience; we're not responsible for their content.
Availability
We aim to keep the site running, but we may change, pause or withdraw any part of it, including the quote service in a county, at any time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we're not liable for any loss from relying on general information on the site, from an installer's advice, prices or work, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our service to you is free; to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to €100.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on the site when you use it applies.
Privacy and cookies
How we handle your details is in our privacy policy and cookie policy.
Law
These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction.
